My high school friends and I have managed to stay close over the years thanks to this fantastic tradition we call REFCO. That stands for Reston Fireworks Coalition, after our home town – Reston, Virginia. I’ll save you the time from working out that acronym, don’t bother. Basically, we get together on the 4th, eat food, drink beer, and blow stuff up. The fire marshall was a distinguished guest of this event in years past. This year, we brought it back from a 5 year slumber… ‘splosions.
